PRAYER

God of new beginnings,

Thank you for every person here today—no matter where they’re coming from or what their week has been like. Thank you for this community and the precious chance to gather, listen, and grow together.

As we turn our hearts and minds to your story and your guidance, help us to hear your voice in a way that resonates with each of us. For those who need hope, bring hope. For those in search of direction, reveal the next step. For anyone feeling discouraged or left out, surround them with gentle reminders that they matter to you and to us.

Give us courage to be honest—with ourselves, with you, and with one another. Quiet our worries and help us listen for what is true and good.

We ask that these moments would bring us a little closer to each other, and a little closer to the life you dream for us all.

Amen.

SERMON

POINT: God doesn’t give us a script—He invites us into a story.

POINT: Everyone needs help with finding their way sometimes.

POINT: We’re all looking for a reliable compass in the complexities of life.

“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” —Brené Brown, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

POINT: God’s guidance isn’t merely about knowing the future; it’s about shaping a better present.

Joshua 1:7 – Finding Courage to Move Forward
Joshua 1:7 NLT
- Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

Isaiah 40:28-31 – Finding Strength When We’re Tired
Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT

Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Micah 6:8 – What Really Matters
Micah 6:8 NLT

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God.

POINT: Big changes start with small steps.

POINT: Instead of considering the entirety of your future life, concentrate on your next step.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
