Easter 2025 Presentation.jpg

Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices, which they had prepared. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3 Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.
5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the

among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ”
8 And they remembered His words. 9 Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened. —Luke 24:1-12

What Does An Empty Tomb Mean?

“I am the Living One. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the

of death and Hades.” —Revelation 1:18
Death didn’t get the last word.
It’s reign is over and King Jesus has the last !

Because I live, you will

also. —John 14:19

1)

doesn’t get the last word.

  • Romans 6:8-14 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin,
but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

2) doesn’t get the last word.

  • Hebrews 2:14-15 14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

3) doesn’t get the last word.

  • The devil whispers “shame on you” but Jesus declares “shame you”.
  • Romans 8:1 (TPT) So now the case is closed. There remains no voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
  • Psalm 103 - the extent of God’s mercy

King Jesus has the

say!
