  1. What was Paul’s relation to Timothy?

  2. Who has helped mentor you in your spiritual journey?

1. Paul tells Timothy not to neglect the gift. What does neglecting the gift look like to you?

  1. Describe a season where you have been guilty of neglecting the gift.

  2. The Greek word for gift is the word Charisma. The root word Charisma is the Charis which means grace. How does this help you to understand the spiritual gifts that God has given us?

  3. Read 1 Timothy 4: 15. How does this verse fit with the statement, “Your gift will make room for you?”

  4. Share about a time when you didn’t have to self-promote but when you knew you were promoted by God.

  5. Read 2 Timothy 1: 5. What spiritual qualities about yourself would you like to pass down to your kids and to your grandkids?

  6. What are some of the good qualities of past generations you would like to embrace?

  7. Read 2 Timothy 1: 6. What are some practical ways that you can stir up the gift that is in you?

  8. Describe a season where you had to rekindle the fire of God in your life. How were you able to do so?

  9. Read 2 Timothy 1: 7. Describe a time when you made a decision out of fear and not from a place of faith.

  1. Read 2 Timothy 1: 3. Paul was days away from being executed but instead of focusing on what he couldn’t do he focused on what he could do and he did that by praying for Timothy. When it comes to your purpose what are some things you can begin doing today?

  2. Read 1 Timothy 4: 12. Paul did not want Timothy’s youth to be an excuse for not fulfilling his purpose. What are some excuses that you have made that have hindered you from fulfilling your purpose?
