MAKE A DIFFERENCE
At Allison Park Church, we want everyone to know they can make a difference. Whether it’s through the church itself, or your relationships, your workplace, or your local community - you have the capacity to encourage and inspire others. You can make a difference!
Declaration Statements:
“I
“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” —Matthew 5:13-16
Developing Yourself
As you determine your gifts and your passions, it’s also important to
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” —1 Corinthians 15:58

Honoring God through my Finances
At Allison Park Church, we practice
We practice tithing not only as individuals, but as a church. A tithe means a “tenth”, which means we give the first ten percent of our income to God. The decision to tithe is important, not only because it supports the body of Christ, but because it also frees us from the tyranny of money.
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.” —Proverbs 3:9-10
Tithing is not just a reflex or an obligation, it is
God not only calls us to give as an act of
Giving is one of the central themes of the Bible. Jesus spoke more about this topic than Heaven, Hell, or prayer. Giving, not only through our tithes but in other ways, begets generosity, and a culture defined by generosity and giving only grows.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” —Malachi 3:10
Ways of giving beyond our tithe:
Offerings - an offering is giving over and above our tithe. The Bible says that by giving generously, we are able to “take hold of the life that is truly life”.
The Gift of Giving - the gift of giving is a spiritual gift that God gives to some people (Romans 28:8). It is a Holy Spirit-given capacity and desire to serve God by giving of your material resources, far beyond the tithe, to further the work of God.
Kingdom Builders - this is how we give to missions projects around our city, nation, and world.
At Allison Park Church, we want you to understand that you are giving to God through the church, not to the church. We openly share the honesty, integrity, and spiritual values that guide the financial practices of Allison Park, and we believe that people can safely focus on what God is calling them to give and trust that He is leading our church to steward it well.

Opportunities at Allison Park Church
1. Serve Teams
Serve Teams are groups of people who serve together on weekends or special events at their campus. Serving is an important aspect of community.
Being part of a Serve Team is not simply meeting a need - you are part of the church, ministering to each and every person who walks through the front doors of Allison Park. You also operate in the gifts that God has given you (as discussed in the DISCOVER PURPOSE section). It is our desire for everyone at Allison Park to have the opportunity to serve God and the church by serving in areas where they are gifted.
“And whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” —Mark 10:44-45
2. Kingdom Builders
Kingdom Builders is our initiative for missions projects around the city, nation, and world! Each year we set specific goals for each of our campuses for outreaches, expansion, mission trips, and more so that more people can be reached with the Gospel. Kingdom Builders are people who give sacrificially, above and beyond their tithe to help us expand the Kingdom of God. Listed below are just a few projects that we support through Kingdom Builders:
Network of Hope - Through Network of Hope, our campuses have food banks, feeding programs, Christmas blessing projects for families, and Serve Day - a nationwide event where thousands of churches do special projects in their local community.
Missions Projects - Our giving impacts missions work around the world, including Nicaragua, water wells in Africa, as well as signs and wonders festivals in Africa in partnership with SOS Adventure.
