Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox. —Proverbs 14:4
No cattle, no problems.
When there’s no ox, there’s no increase.
You will get great abundance from the labor and strength of your cattle, but it will come with a cost.
A wise principle: We need to be willing to make concessions.
The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. —Proverbs 13:4
Lazy people have great dreams and desires, but they have nothing.
Having desires doesn’t mean there’s discipline.
A bountiful crop is built on the discipline of the farmer.
Whoever is slothful will not roast his game, but the diligent man will get precious wealth. —Proverbs 12:27
He will not roast his prey because he lacks follow through.
Talent without discipline leads to incredible disappointment. Talent still requires discipline and diligence.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. —Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
God is not opposed to effort, He’s opposed to earning.
Christian growth isn’t an app you download. There’s a daily diligence in pursuing God.

Big Idea:
The wisdom of God teaches us to be flexible, but diligent; gracious but disciplined.
