SMALL GROUP GUIDE
Welcome
Weekly Vision Casting Healthy Small Groups a reproducible process for discipleship. Jesus modeled this with his disciples by raising them up and sending them out to make more disciples. With many newcomers in the last year, our church is in need of several new Small Groups. Is anyone interested in leading a group at some point?
As you live on mission, who are you planning to invite to Easter or Holy Week services?

WARM UP QUESTION
What is your favorite movie? If the ending was different, do you think you would still like it? Why or why not? [In Ruth 4, we see the storybook ending to the saga of Ruth and Naomi.]
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Can someone summarize where we are at in the book of Ruth up to this point?
2. Read Ruth 4. What was the family redeemer? What role does the family redeemer play in this chapter?
3. How does this chapter bring a “storybook ending” to this book?
4. Why do you think we gravitate towards stories with a perfect ending?
5. What are the parallels between the story of redemption in Ruth and the bigger story of God’s redemption of the world?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
6. All of us want life to turn out perfectly, just the way we would write it. Share about something this week that didn’t go how you hoped, what did you do with that? It can be something minor or something big.
7. How can the story of redemption in Ruth–and the even bigger story of God’s redemption in the Bible—shape the way you view trials, suffering, or disappointments?
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
8. How can you remind yourself of God’s faithfulness this week?
