Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

The regulatory value of the law has ceased, but its revelatory value continues.
CHRIST HAS SET US FREE TO…

Galatians 5:14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
THE PAUSE: 10 MINUTES WITH GOD
MONDAY | FREE IN CHRIST
PASSAGE: Galatians 5:1
PAUSE: If there is one verse every Christian should memorize, Galatians 5:1 is that verse. The Apostle Paul reminds us that we have been set free from sin and the slavery of legalism by God’s grace and extreme love for us, and everyone needs to stand firm in Christ Jesus. Thank God for this freedom!
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I want to pause and thank You! Thank You for reminding me of my freedom in Christ; I choose to stand firm in Your grace.
TUESDAY | CALLED TO FREEDOM
PASSAGE: Galatians 5:13
PAUSE: With freedom comes opportunity—the opportunity to live a better life and to have better relationships. In this freedom, we have been called to love and serve one another without guilt and shame! Look for opportunities this week to love and serve those around you. This is what we are called to do!
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me see the opportunities to love others that are always around me. Today, I choose love. Help me love others deeply.
WEDNESDAY | THE WHOLE LAW
PASSAGE: Galatians 5:14
PAUSE: The Apostle Paul, just like Jesus, summarized the LAW in one word: LOVE. Sometimes, we complicate the clarity of what it means to be a Christian in today’s world! The ramifications of the gospel are clear: love one another!
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for simplifying the LAW. Help me to love others in the same way You love me! I embrace the opportunity to love.
THURSDAY | DON’T BITE
PASSAGE: Galatians 5:15
PAUSE: Any parent’s worst fear is that their toddler will bite another child. Our Heavenly Father’s greatest disappointment with Christians is when we choose to bite each other. Ask the Lord to reveal any relationships that you need to fix.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, forgive me for my words. Forgive me for the hateful and angry words that devour others. Allow my words to be loving and kind.
FRIDAY | KEEP IN STEP
PASSAGE: Galatians 5:16
PAUSE: Our marching orders are clear. As Christ’s followers, we are called to walk by the Spirit. Step by step, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to influence and empower our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. The fruit (Galatians 5:22) of following in the Holy Spirit’s steps will be evident to all. Watch your step!
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I rejoice in the Holy Spirit. Forgive me for the times I want to live life my way. Encourage me to keep in step with your Spirit today.
