Prayer of Those Searching for Truth:
Dear Jesus, you claim that you’re the way, the truth, and the life and it’s only through you that I can have a relationship with God. I understand these words in my head, but they’re not yet in my heart. So, I’m still searching. I’m asking you to help me along my spiritual road. I’m open to exploring what it means to be a follower of yours. Reveal yourself to me in ways that I can understand – I want to know what a relationship with you is about. Amen.
Prayer of Belief:
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me even when I’ve ignored you and gone my own way. I realize that I haven’t put you first in my life and I admit that my sins have kept me from knowing you. I’ve come to the place where I believe that you died for my sins and I’m asking you to forgive me. As much as I know how, from this point on I want to learn what it means to follow you. Come into my life and make me a new person. Help me to grow as a Christian. Amen.
Prayer of Recommitment:
Dear Jesus, I’m at a place in my life where I feel I need to make some changes. I haven’t been paying much attention to you lately; I guess I’ve been caught up in doing my own thing, and because of that my relationship with you has suffered. I’m feeling out of touch with my faith and need to get back on track. So, here and now, I want to recommit myself to being a follower of yours and to taking responsibility for my spiritual growth. Give me the courage to do what it takes. Amen.
