PREPARE

Throughout life, we find ourselves in seasons of getting well, getting strong, or getting going as sent ones living on mission. Healing unfolds as we are transformed in our heart, mind, and soul by the love and saving Grace of Jesus. We are strengthened when the various parts of Christ’s body work together building up His people and His church. As brothers and sisters in Christ we are given the privilege of going into the world as participants with Christ in His work of healing, strength, and reconciliation. This is how we as a church know Christ and make Him known.

Join us as we dive into how Jesus is at work to heal, strengthen, and equip us for His glory and our good.

REFLECT

1. What impacted you most from this week’s message? What challenged you or encouraged you?
2. Have you ever felt like you were stuck in your spiritual growth? What did you do to continue growing? How are you getting well, getting strong, and getting going? During this season of your life, which one of these areas of spiritual growth needs the most attention?

Section 1: Get Well
3. Read Luke 4:16-21. What does this passage reveal about the character and mission of Jesus? What did Jesus come to do? How does this related to our healing?
4. Read Ephesians 2:1-5. What is the spiritual condition of a person before they put their trust in Jesus? How did God respond to this situation? What motivated Him? How is trusting Jesus the first step in getting well spiritually?
5. Read Romans 12:2. What does Paul command us not to do? What are we commanded to do? How is being transformed by the renewing of our minds part of getting well?
6. Read Colossians 3:13. After a person has received God’s forgiveness, why is forgiving others an important part of getting well? How do we forgive others like Jesus?

Section 2: Get Strong
7. Read 1 Timothy 4:7-8. What does it mean to “train yourself to be godly”? Why is this training more important than physical training? How does a person train themselves to be godly?
8. Read Philippians 2:12-13: What does it mean to “…continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling”? Is this Justification or Sanctification? How is the Holy Spirit part of this process?

Section 3: Get Going
9. Read Matthew 28:18-20: This passage is known as “The Great Commission.” What is the main command in this passage? How do Christians make disciples? What else are believers told to do?
