Genesis 37:1-11

Why are we dealing with the same temptations as in Joseph’s time?

There is nothing new under the sun. —Ecclesiastes 1:9c

No temptation has seized you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. —1 Corinthians 10:13

21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come – sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. —Mark 7:21-22

– A high or inordinate opinion of one’s own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority.
– Resentment against a person enjoying success or advantage.
