- When have you experienced great worry in your life? How did you deal with it?
- What does the phrase “casting your cares on Him” (cf. 1 Peter 5:7) mean in relation to worry?
- Often Jesus uses examples from nature when He teaches. In this passage, Jesus uses two examples from nature: ravens and wildflowers. What do these examples tell us about worry and faith?
- Jesus also mentions elements outside of our control (ie: height). What is the instruction and lesson that Jesus is teaching by mentioning these elements? (v.26)
- Paul outlines a relationship between worry and prayer in his letter to the church in Philippi. What does he say believers should do in response to their anxieties? (cf. Philippians 4:6-7)
- What does Jesus promise for those who cast their worries unto Him? (v.31)
- How should we respond to Jesus’ words in verse 34 of Luke 12? (cf. Matthew 6:21)
