Attacking Anxiety: FINDING INNER FREEDOM

Pastor Peter Gowesky

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. —Galatians 5:1

WHEN UNHEALTHY HABITS ARE THE NORM, FREEDOM FEELS AWKWARD.

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. —2 Corinthians 3:17-18

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. —John 10:10

12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. —Romans 8:12-17

TO START LIVING IN FREEDOM YOU’VE GOT TO STOP LIVING IN THE FLESH.

1- STOP

& .

2- STOP HOLDING ON TO

.

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. —Ephesians 4:31-32

Three steps for Forgiveness:

  1. FACE IT
  2. FEEL IT
  3. FORGIVE IT

3- STOP COMPARING.

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. —Proverbs 14:30

Pay Attention to your soul while you scroll.
