Face Off: It’s Not Even Fair

Read Jonah 4:1-11

Icebreaker — What is your favorite pastime activity? What benefit has it brought to your life?

  2. What insights about God’s character as well as His interaction with Jonah stand out to you?

  3. In what specific ways is your attitude before God similar to Jonah’s?

  4. How, if at all, has missions work or taking the gospel to the nations been part of your Christian story?

  5. Can you think of any person, group of people, or nation that you’d have a hard time believing they came to saving faith in Christ as a result of repentance?

  6. What idolatries do you personally possess? For Jonah, control, comfort, earthly desires, and stubbornness towards God’s agenda influenced his heart. Do you honestly believe God is okay with your idolatries?
