P.I.T. SEED Part 2

Collaboration: Heaven & Earth/God & Man

I. A seed needs the cooperation between the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1-13 NKJV
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
Heaven
6 Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
Earth
9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Seed
11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

I. A seed needs the cooperation between the heavens and the earth.

Heaven and Earth must come into an accord at God’s command for the seed to come forth and even to grow.

I’ve heard it said, “Man can count the number of seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in one seed!
Each of you was given an apple seed. It is an actual seed. You are responsible for the seed!

Q. How do you get heaven and earth in one accord?
A. Obedience and heeding the word of God!

Deuteronomy 28:12 NKJV

A duality exists of cooperation, collaboration, cohesiveness, and cohabitation between heaven and earth, God and man. (Jesus said I only do what I see the Father doing, and I do it in like manner.)

Should man cease from such an accord of collaboration with God, then God would cease what He does when there is collaborations and the discord between man and God will result in a hold back on what God said He would give.

Deuteronomy 28:23-24 NKJV

But to obey (Keep the command), results in…

Deuteronomy 28:4-12 NKJV
4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body,
the produce of your ground and
the increase of your herds,
the increase of your cattle and the
offspring of your flocks.
5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and
blessed shall you be when you go out.
7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you,
if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

II. Where the Sower scatters/sows seed matters most: Tend & Keep

The multiplication of the seed that is sown is perpetual through obedience and care: tend and keep.
In Genesis 2, God planted what? A garden eastward in Eden.

Genesis 2:4-6 NKJV
4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

Tend: to serve; work, till the ground.
Keep: watch over, guard, protect, preserve, give heed to/obey, care for.

Man’s responsibility was to be obedient to take care (tend) of the earth/ground, and God would take care of the heaven/rain.

That COLLABORATION!

III. The Witnesses

When God wanted a witness, He called heaven and earth…

Deuteronomy 30:15-20 NKJV

Wayside: These are those that can hear, but that do not understand what is said. Therefore Satan can steal the truth away from them very easily.

Stoney: These are those that turn away because of affliction or persecution. They lack any depth or foundational root knowledge. They are easily offended.

Thorns: These are those that care more about the things in the world, the distraction of riches, the natural lusts of the world.

Good: These are those that produce fruit. A return of seed is multiplied to produce a bountiful supply. Some 30 times, some 60 times and some 100 times.
