-What does it mean to be spiritual?
To be rightly related to the Spirit of God.
-“Don’t be drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit of God.” (Ephesians 5:18)
-“Ruach” Hebrew word that means:
Spirit
Breath
Wind
-“The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.” (Genesis 1:2)
-“The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)
-“By the sweat of your face you will eat bread, till you return to the ground because from it you were taken. For you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19)
-The WIND is gone.
-“A shoot will spring up from the stem of Jesse. A branch from his root will bear fruit, and the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him.” (Isaiah 11:2)
-“Behold my servant whom I uphold, my chose one in whom my soul delights. I put my Spirit in him, and he will bring forth justice to the nations.” (Isaiah 42:1)
-“I will give you a new heart and a new Spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
-“I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”(Luke 3:16)
-Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 5:3-4)
