Acts 2:42 NLT

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

Acts 2:17 KJV

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.

1 Samuel 1:28 NLT

1 Samuel 2:1 NLT

Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.

I live in praise & thanksgiving, rejoicing because God has removed the reproach of my barrenness. The blessing He has given, I have given back to God to be used for His glory.

1 Samuel 2:2 NLT

No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

I give honor to God for who He is in me not for what he’s does for me.

1 Samuel 2:3 NLT

“Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance!
For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.

Our metric of righteousness is God’s Word. We do not live appetite-driven lives, look to society for our moral compass, or settle for a form religion that is powerless to bring about transformation. We’ve submitted to God, completely surrendered to His will and His way.

1 Samuel 2:4-5 NLT

4 The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong.
5 Those who were well fed are now starving, and those who were starving are now full. The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away.

The privileged and entitled have been rejected, and the outcast has found a place of favor in the Lord.

1 Samuel 2:6-8 NLT

6 The Lord gives both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up.
7 The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.
8 He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lord’s, and he has set the world in order.

God is ultimately in control. In death or life, riches or poverty, exalted or humbled, God is sovereign. God raises up the discarded to be kings, placing them in seats of honor.

Creation is His, and He comfortably directs the courses of planets, the function of atoms and the steps you take. We belong to Him, and we trust in Him for He is God!

1 Samuel 2:9 NLT

“He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone.

I am faithful to God because I know He is for me. The circumstances and challenges I face don’t determine the depth of my devotion to Him. In my own strength, I will find limits, but if God be for me, what can be against me?

1 Samuel 2:10 NLT

Those who fight against the Lord will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the Lord judges throughout the earth. He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.”

As I continue being faithful and trusting God, He is my defense, my strength, and the anointing that covers me.

I Samuel 2:19 NKJV

Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

I Samuel 3:19 NKJV

So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

John 1:12 KJV

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

TIFAW

My life is established by the prayers and influence of those who have loved me and saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself.

I take him at His Word, choosing to believe what He has said about me.

I am a child of God, and I belong.
