22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! —Galatians 5:22-23

KINDNESS

● moral goodness, or excellence, gentleness, (rooted in “USEFULNESS”)
● integrity (think of all the segmented parts of the pineapple blending into one fruit),

KINDNESS: SELFLESS ACTIONS that CREATE LIFE and CULTIVATE HEALING.

PINEAPPLE
● They became signs of hospitality and royalty (also power & prestige), selling for $8K at the height of their craze!
● When pineapple were discovered, people sold everything to get them, and some people even rented them!

CYCLE OF GROWTH:

Three year cycle of growth, maturity, rest, and fertilization.

Kindness reveals that Jesus has been at work in the soil of someone’s soul and is producing a deep change in them that affects their mindset, how they see and interact with the world around them.

● A lack of kindness can be an indication that I’m ignoring Jesus.

What do pineapples do in us when we eat them?

* MATURITY *

* HEALING *

* IMMUNITY *

We draw up what is already in us.

WHAT SPOILS KINDNESS?

So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. —1 Peter 2:1-3
