Lesson Overview: Birth Places
The birth of Jesus is like no other birth. Jesus was born to an unexpected person, in a unexpected place, and with incredible possibilities. The birth of Jesus was God becoming a man. HIs birth changes everything in the world. God incarnate gives us a chance to experience salvation. Placing our faith in Jesus allows our sins to be forgiven and to experience eternal life. Jesus is the gift everybody needs!
What is one of your most memorable Christmases and why?
Read Luke 1:34,35. Why is the virgin birth so significant? Read Isaiah 7:14. What is the significance of this verse?
Read Luke 2:7. Describe how you imagine the environment of Jesus’ birth. What does that says to us today?
What does the inn being full teach us today about the way the world responds to the birth of Jesus?
Read Luke 2:25-28. What role do Simeon and Anna play in the story of Jesus’ birth?
How does the story of Christ’s birth represent “hope” for all of mankind?
What are some things you are thankful for as you celebrate Christ’s birth this year?
