Col 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
1. The word submit mean to

surrender yourself under someone else.
2. This is not an action to upon the wives of Christian men.
3. Wives submit to your husbands doesn’t simply mean to him.
4. Submission does not mean downgraded or less .
5. True submission does not diminish equality nor mar the of being a woman.
6. Jesus came to earth to submit to the will of the father yet thought it not robbery to be with God.

Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

7. Submission has nothing to do with the amount of

you or your spouse makes.
8. When a wife submits to her husband she recognizes the that God has placed her husband in and desires to help him fulfill it.
9. When you honor God’s for the home you are honoring God.

Col 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
10. When a man is loving his wife properly it is

for him to abuse the position of husband.
11. Bitterness is a result of a lack of .
12. Husbands however are to love their wives as Christ loves the .

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
13. The love of a husband is to be a

love.
14. This type of love does without so that the wife’s needs are met .
15. This type of love is agape love which means .
16. Agape love does not require through first being loved.
17. Agape love does not do so because it expects anything in .
18. When we only love or submit to receive something in return that is .
19. When we refuse to love or submit because our spouse does not reciprocate that is disobedience to not our spouse.

Col 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Col 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

20. These verses are obviously talking about children who are still in the

.
21. As long as a child is dependent upon there parents for everyday necessities such as food and shelter they are to be subject to their parents .
22. Provoking your children to anger by your attitude and will eventually cause your children to believe they are not good enough to please you.
23. Things that provoke children to anger: being too harsh, being negative, lack of affection, never admitting your wrong, belittling their intelligence, not being willing to explain yourself.

Col 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
Col 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Col 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Col 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

24. As Christian’s we need to understand that we have a higher

at the work place than the non-believer.
25. We are not just employees but we are of Jesus.
26. Your job can only reward you with a pay check but the Lord will pay you with an eternal .
27. Just as God will reward you for your hard work he can also take away a good if you misrepresent him at your job.

Col 4:1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
28. If God blesses you with your own business you have a heavy responsibility to handle it faithfully and

.
29. Paying your employees the least amount you can get by with is .
30. Paying people fairly according to the job and will result in the Master in heaven blessing your business.
