The Work of Christ in the Church!

Ephesians 2:19-22

“19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22, ESV)

WE ARE THE FAMILY OF GOD!

“19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,”

“16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.” (Romans 8:16-17)

“The inheritance we have in Christ is more than just eternal life; it’s the privilege of an intimate relationship with God as our Father.” – R.C. Sproul

WE ARE BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF CHRIST!

“20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone,”

“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11)

WE ARE BUILT TOGETHER INTO A HOLY TEMPLE!

“21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”

“You yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5)

1. Are you allowing God to shape you through your interactions with others in the Church?

2. Are you inviting God into your family life and asking Him to build your home into a place where His Spirit dwells?

“Jesus is not just a priority; He is the priority. When you make Him first in your life, everything else finds its place.” ~ Oswald Chambers
