Living It Out This Week

Being a disciple of Jesus is not as easy as it may sound. To actually be “with” Jesus we must carve out time and energy to sit at His feet. We must then follow Him wherever He goes and wherever He commands. May these devotions help you be with Jesus this week.

Sunday-Mark 3.13-18: As you read this text picture yourself being one of the disciples with Jesus at this moment. What do you notice? How will you be with Jesus this week?

Monday-Matthew 10.1-8: What does Matthew give us that goes in more detail than Mark? What is the task of the disciples in your own words? How have you received from Jesus this year so far?

Tuesday-Luke 6.12-22: Being a disciple is a wonderful thing but how does the blessings Jesus pronounce put our path into a greater context? Pray for more trust in Jesus!

Wednesday-Isaiah 43.1-13: God is creating, forming, and calling humanity by name. What do you do to make sure you hear God calling? Spend some time in silence just listening to God.

Thursday-Mark 8.31-38: The cross was not something Jesus was caught by surprise, it was his path all along. Notice what is said about His disciples; how is this true in your life? How can we be less like Peter and more like the call of Jesus?

Friday-Luke 19.28-44: Jesus comes to Jerusalem and wonderful things are proclaimed. How would you describe Jesus to someone? What names would you use? What does it mean to honor Jesus?

Saturday-John 1.14: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
