> Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country,
> From your family
> And from your father’s house,

To a land that I will show you.

> 2  I will make you a great nation;
> I will bless you
> And make your name great;
> And you shall be a blessing. 3  I will bless those who bless you,
> And I will curse him who curses you;

And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” —Genesis 12:1- 3 New King James Version

FAITH is MOVEMENT

Relationship with God is always the pivot point of blessing.

1: Great Nation

The Church: Called out - Called into Ones

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. —1 Peter 2:9-10 New King James Version

We can partake in the greatest revival this world has ever seen if only we understand and move into the reality of the POWER of PROCLAMATION.

Acts 2: “we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God”

2: The Blessing

God’s goodness and mercy will run you down

> 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
> All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever. —Psalm 23:6 New King James Version

3: Make your Name Great

I have a new name written down in glory and its mine.

What is a name? A Good name? How do your gain positive spiritual influence? By following the Lord and allowing the fruit of the Spirit to show.

13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]adultery, [b]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [d]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. —Galatians 5:13-26 New King James Version

Joy is love exulting; peace is love in repose; long suffering is love on trial; kindness/gentleness is love in society; goodness is love in action; faith, is love on the battlefield; gentleness/meekness is love at school; and self control/temperance is love in training. —Dwight L. Moody

Fruit is simply produced by the nature of the tree

WORKS OF THE FLESH vs FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

We are not the children of Hagar but of Sarah, descendants not of Ishmael, the son of slavery, but of Isaac, the child of promise.

4: The Blessing of God is not just for you.

People all around you are in need of a spiritual awakening. When you walk in the Spirit - the blessing of eternity walks with you and is extended to those around you.

“The opposite of flesh is love … love that looks away from the self and its wishes, even its real needs, to the neighbor, and spends its resources on his needs.” Christian freedom is freedom to love and therefore freedom to serve —C. K. Barrett

  1. Power without truth can lead to heresy.

  2. Power without love can lead to abuse.

  3. Power based on truth and manifested in love can bring about renewal and revival

Living a blessed life is not a “DOING” but rather a “FULFILLING”

In Paul’s vocabulary, to walk in the Spirit or be led by the Spirit means to go where the Spirit is going, to listen to his voice, to discern his will, to follow his guidance
