“16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16–17, ESV)

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A FRIEND JUST LIKE JESUS

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,” (John 14:16, ESV)

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18, ESV)

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,” (John 14:16, ESV)

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR COMFORTER

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, ESV)

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR ADVOCATE

“My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1, ESV)

“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.” (John 15:26, ESV)

“13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13–14, ESV)

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR COUNSELOR

“…even the Spirit of truth,” (John 14:17a, ESV)

WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR GUIDE, GOD’S WORD WILL BE OBEYED, AND JESUS WILL BE GLORIFIED!
