Biblical Hope – a strong, confident expectation in God’s future faithfulness and His presence.

> “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,

for my hope is from him.” —Psalm 62:5

“O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.” —Psalm 71:5

“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.” —Psalm 39:7

Our hope is not only found in Jesus; our hope is Jesus.

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone…” —Isaiah 9:2

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” —Isaiah 9:6-7

  • Everlasting Father

“No matter how many times we’ve blown it, no matter how many years we’ve been unsuccessfully trying to get better, God attaches no strings to His love. None. His love for us does not depend on our loveliness. It goes one way. As far as our sin may extend, the grace of the Father extends further.” —Tullian Tchividjian - One Way Love

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” —Deuteronomy 13:5

“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” —Luke 2:8-10

  • The Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
