SMALL GROUP GUIDE

Welcome
Weekly Vision Casting
At Trinity we talk a lot about our “ones”. We hope that everyone has at least one person in our community that they are reaching out to with the good news of Jesus. Has anyone had a recent opportunity to build friendship or initiate spiritual conversations with their “one”?

SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

WARM UP QUESTION
What activities are more enjoyable with other people than by yourself? [We are in a 2 part series asking the question: Why Church?]

HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Have group members read: Lev 8:3-4; 2 Chron 5:13; Psalm 95:1-2; Psalm 100; Neh 8:4-8; Acts 2:42-47; Col 3:16; 1 Tim 4:13; Heb 10:24-25
2. What do these verses tell us about the purpose of public worship?
3. 1 Corinthians 14:24-25 indicates that part of the purpose of our worship gatherings is to help outsiders encounter God. In what ways might an outsider encounter God at Trinity on Sunday mornings?

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
4. Did anything in the message or in the Bible study today challenge your view of corporate worship?
5. How will having a more biblical understanding of corporate worship affect your approach towards Sunday morning worship?
6. Trinity’s biblically-based philosophy is that Sunday morning worship is both for believers and unbelievers. Are you on board with this? Why or why not?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
7. Let’s celebrate together! Has anyone in the group taken a next step over the past two weeks that they would like to share about?
