Gospel Conversations, Week 5 – Barriers to Evangelism

Why don’t we share the Gospel more often?

Barrier 1 – The Fight (Eph. 6:12)

When we commit to God’s call to having 5 Gospel Conversations per week, we are striking a direct blow to the work of the enemy.

Barrier 2 – Fear – I am uncomfortable with the message or the method.
- Remember His Promise! (2 Tim. 1:7)
- Remember His Power! (Acts 1:8)
- Remember the Weapon of Prayer! (Eph. 6:19-20, Acts 4:29)

Barrier 3 – Failure – I am afraid they may reject the message or that they reject me.

Barrier 4 – Focus
The enemy very much wants to reduce hell to a DOCTRINE to examine rather than a DESTINY to endure.

• Place of Punishment (Matthew 25:46)
• Place of Condemnation (Matthew 23:33)
• Place of Fire and Darkness (Matt. 5:22, 5:42,50, 18:8-9, 8:12, 22:13, 25:30)

2 Great Warnings (Rev. 20:11-15, Matt. 7:21-23)

2 Great Promises (1 Tim. 2:3-4, 2 Pet. 3:9)
