Week four - We Want You Here
James 1:2-4

Bottom line: If we have Jesus, we have everything we need and everything we want.

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. —James 1:2-4

We have to want what God wants and not what we want God to do.
Ultimately, we have to want God more than anything.

Baptisms - it’s not about knowing everything and knowing where God is taking you, it’s about saying I’ve decided to follow Jesus wherever He wants me to go.

If we have Jesus, we have enough.
If we have Jesus to offer others, we have what they need.
*Heaven forbid someone shows up here looking for God and all they find is us.

Our prayer for the next fifteen years -
God, we want You here. Help us to expect the unexpected, and not be tossed around by the waves, but to plant our feet firmly with You. Whatever You want is what we want. We want You here.

When that’s our prayer and that’s our posture, we’re ready for a move of God.
We don’t get to decide when and how God moves, but we get ready for when it happens.

Why not here? Why not now? Why not us?
