ABORTION

Genesis 4:1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”
Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
I. We (born and unborn) have value and worth because
Exodus 21:22 When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Luke 1:30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”
Luke 1:41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby [brephos] leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Luke 2:16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby [brephos] lying in a manger.
Luke 18:15 Now they were bringing even infants [brephos] to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
II. The Bible is radically
Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.
Proverbs 31:8 Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Galatians 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
III. How many decisions do we make based on what we want to do instead of
Genesis 4:10 And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.”
1 Timothy 1: 12 I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, 13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
