Tonight we are giving up rudeness

Love is not

Rudeness is difficult to define.

Tonight, we are going to focus on Jesus.

Simon the Pharisee is

- Did not give Jesus water for his feet.
- Did not give Jesus a kiss of greeting.
- Did not give Jesus any special treatment.

Give up rudeness to Jesus and pick up love.

Give up rudeness and pick up love.

Four practical ways

2 Jesus for who he is not just for what he MIGHT do.
3 Pay attention to Jesus
4 Be ready to say

Jesus is the opposite of rude
Jesus is full of

Jesus IS the loving gracious money lender. (v.41-42)

Hear the gospel: Your sins, which are many, have been forgiven! Go in peace.

- Motive: only go to him to test. Can he actually help?
- Thoughts: think to little of Jesus.
- Actions: don’t pay attention to him.

- Do you pay regular attention to him?
