2. Thanksgiving is remembering what God has done for us and it’s how we fight
discontentment.

1. How would you describe the difference between Praise and Thanksgiving?
2. Praise vs Thanksgiving
*Praise recognizes God for who God is; thanksgiving remembers what God has done
*Praise focuses more on the nature of God; Thanksgiving more on the activity of God
*Praise inspires holiness and awe; Thanksgiving inspires closeness and joy
3. If we’re honest we all have obstacles in our life that keep us from being thankful. What are
they for you?
4. Definition: Discontentment is a feeling of dissatisfaction or unhappiness with one's life,
situation, or possessions. It can also mean a longing for something better than the present
situation.
5. Pastor Kirby said ‘Discontentment robs us of joy; while thankfulness fuels joy’
6. Which voice is louder for you, right now?
7. Discontentment causes us to miss the blessings in our life and instead we focus only on
what we lack.
