Important to remember:
The sting of betrayal is very painful and disorienting. Whether it’s a friend breaking confidence or a colleague stabbing you in the back, the feeling of being wronged cuts deep. In the immediate aftermath, the natural, almost primal response is often a desire for revenge. You want to inflict the pain you’ve suffered on that person. You want to make them understand the injustice you feel. Like Joseph and Judah in our story, we may feel broken by betrayal, but often what we perceive as our greatest setback is actually God setting us up and preparing us for something greater.
