For Discussion & Reflection:
In Colossians 3:12, Paul mentions that believers are “chosen by God.” What does it mean to be chosen by God, and how does this truth impact your understanding of your identity as a Christian?
According to the verse, believers are encouraged to “clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” How can we practically put on these virtues in our daily lives, and what challenges might we face in doing so?
In the coming weeks we will take a closer look at the virtues mentioned in Colossians 3:12 (compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience). How do you see each of these virtues contributing to a Christ-like character, and why are they important in the life of a believer?
What impact could these virutes have on our relationships with others? Can you identify specific examples or scenarios where these virtues make a difference?
