PRIORITIZE TOGETHER LIFE
Text: Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
1. Prioritize Connecting Relationally Together In Small Group
- Small groups are best for connecting relationally in a church. None of us can successfully connect with hundreds or thousands of people.
We may know the names of scores of people, but it is impossible to connect with that many people. We can only truly know and be known by a few.
God has called us to go deeper than a “Facebook” experience in our church life. He has called us to connect relationally.
- The Christian life is not meant to be lived in
2. Prioritize Serving Together In Small Group
- The small group setting gives more people an opportunity to serve in
3. Prioritize Growing Together Spiritually In Small Group
- As far as the acceleration of spiritual growth is concerned, relationships are probably more important than Bible Study, Prayer, and Worship.
Why? Because spiritual growth is as much caught as taught.
The majority of spiritual growth is a result of relationships.
Jesus said, “Follow Me.” More than
What is the effect of godly relationships in our lives?
4. Prioritize Care And Accountability Together In Small Group
- We will go further in life, further in a good direction, further in our walk with Christ, etc., when we are being held accountable.
- Small groups allow accountability to happen naturally.
We all need people to nudge us and encourage us. Sometimes we need someone to remind us of what we said we were going to do, what we promised to do, what we need to do (in terms of following Jesus).
To be accountable is to be
To whom are you accountable?
In a small group there is a face to face accountability, but there is also a network of personal care that is created.
- This is most effectively done in the small group setting.
