Honoring God

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

God is a good God and wants us to enjoy the relationships that He gave us. God gave truth to us about marriage and the sexual relationship that He created for us to enjoy. Contrary to what our culture tells us, God gave boundaries for us to enjoy sex within marriage. Paul wants the people of his day, and for us as well, to reflect healthy relationships that help bring people to the Gospel.

Sex was created by God
“For it is said, the two shall become one flesh.” v16 (Genesis 2:24)
Sex is good
“God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number.” Genesis 1:28

Action Points:
Put parameters around your passion.
Don’t settle for mediocrity.
Know that there will be struggles with sexual temptation.
Flee temptation of sexual sin and do not give in.
Make a decision for purity before temptation comes your way.
