BECOMING LIGHT part 1

Matthew 5:14 - 15
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

🚨 YOU. ARE. LIGHT.

“City on a hill CANNOT be hidden” means…
🚀 Your life is built for visibility.
🎤 Your calling is built for impact.
🔦 Your struggle is built for revelation.

GOD IS GIVING YOU A PLATFORM.

Psalm 23:4a
4a Even though I walk through the valley of the SHADOW of death…

• Shadows only exist when light is present.
• If we see darkness, it is proof we are carrying light.

WE WERE BUILT FOR THIS!

~ What if it is an assignment? ~

• God did not keep Joseph in a pit to break him —
  He placed him there because palaces were coming.
• God did not let Paul get shipwrecked to stop him —
  He let him light up an entire island with miracles.
• God did not send Jesus into a storm to drown —
  He sent Him there to show they can walk on water.

John 1:5
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

🔥 The darkness cannot overcome the light! 🔥
LIGHT OVERCOMES DARKNESS NATURALLY ….Just by BEING WHO IT IS…

You do not just have light. - You ARE light!

Ecclesiastes 4:12
12 A threefold cord is not easily broken.

• A “threefold cord” is powerful when it is wrapped in truth.
• It is devastating when it is twisted in lies.

The Holy Spirit is about to unbraid what the enemy wove into your thinking!
🔥 The Holy Spirit is unraveling the mindsets that keep you from shining.
🔥 The Holy Spirit is breaking the knots that have kept you bound.
🔥 The Holy Spirit is setting you free to LIVE as the light you were born to be.

3 CHORD UNBRAIDING:

1. SHAME - “I’m unworthy”
The first lie that dims our

is shame.

Shame tries to convince you that you need to “fix yourself” before you can be who God already declared you to be.

That is a trap.

• You already carry the light of Heaven inside you!
  “YOU ARE LIGHT.”

The light inside you is not about YOUR ability — it is about HIS!

Our identity is not built on our perfection — it is built on HIS.

The imposter syndrome is a demonic strategy to keep you from stepping into your
God-given calling.

The lie is designed to make you shrink back when God is calling you to step forward.
🔥 Your past does not disqualify you.
🔥 Your scars do not disqualify you.
🔥 Your struggles do not disqualify you.

The only thing that can dim your light is

the lie that you are too unworthy to shine.

Shame is a shadow.
Shadows only exist where light is

.

~ RECOGNIZE WHERE THE SHAME STARTED ~

Genesis 3:9 - 10
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

• Shame hides.
• God Calls.

~ REPLACE THE LIE WITH GOD’S TRUTH! ~
YOU cut the cord of shame by replacing the lie of the enemy with the TRUTH of who GOD says you are.

Shame is fueled by

- if the enemy can make you believe you are not worthy, you will never walk in the power God has given you.

The lie says: “You are not enough.”
GOD SAYS: “My grace is sufficient for you.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The lie says: “You do not deserve this opportunity.”
GOD SAYS: “I have called you and appointed you.”

John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

The lie says: “You are a fraud.”
GOD SAYS: “You are my workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.”
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

2. STRIVING - “I need to earn being light”…
The devil is after your

Luke 4:3
3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
The devil questioned Jesus’ identity.

STRIVING is the enemy to

You do not prove light by striving.
You prove light by SHINING.

You do not become light by striving… You just WALK into IDENTITY.

Romans 8:15
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

God is not looking for employees.
God is looking for

Jesus came to make you family.

Do not live like an employee in God’s kingdom, trying to clock in enough hours of prayer, good works, and obedience to earn your place.

If you are still trying to prove yourself to God, you are living as a slave, not a son.

THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR SONS!
Romans 8:19
19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

The world is groaning for sons and daughters who KNOW who they are.

• Pastors preach, but sons carry presence.
• Ministers minister, but sons manifest the kingdom.
• Employees work, but sons walk in authority.

John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

When you stop striving and start walking in identity -

is the natural
by-product.

• STRIVING makes you sweat.
• SONSHIP makes you SHINE!

“By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food…” (Genesis 3:19)
🔥 When Jesus came, He sweat so you would not have to.
🔥 He broke the curse of striving and restored the blessing of sonship!

~ CREATION recognized TRUE SONS ~.
~ Demons recognize TRUE SONS ~.

SHIFT FROM EARNING TO RECIEVING.

Sons do not earn, they

.

• Striving says: “I have to prove myself.”
• Sonship says: “I receive what is already mine.”

Are you working for His love or from His love?

Stop Measuring Yourself by Productivity.

Walk in Authority, Not Approval-Seeking!

• When you step into a room, own the space like a son — because you carry His presence!
• Speak boldly and pray with authority. When you pray, do not beg — declare!
  You are a Son, not a slave!

3. FEAR - “What if I am not enough?”
Fear is the

that whispers, “What if you fail?”

~ Fear is a liar, and you do not have to live under its control. ~

2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Light does not ask permission to shine — IT JUST DOES!

💡 Fear makes you hesitate, hold back, and second-guess what God has already placed inside you.
💡 Fear makes you feel like you are always one mistake away from failure, one weakness away from being disqualified.

YOU NEED TO SHIFT FROM “WHAT IF” to “EVEN IF”!

Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

💡 Fear lives in the land of “What if.”

• What if I fail?
• What if I’m not good enough?
• What if I step out and fall flat on my face?

🔥FAITH LIVES in the land of “EVEN IF”

• Even if I fail, God will catch me.
• Even if I feel weak, His strength is made perfect in my weakness.
• Even if I do not know the whole plan, I trust the One who does.

STOP LETTING FEAR BE YOUR GPS (stop hiding).

GOD’S CALL on YOUR LIFE is to STEP OUT of the SHADOWS and INTO THE LIGHT.

Fear will tell you to avoid conflict, to shy away from opportunities, to stay small and unnoticed.

God’s Word calls you to stand tall, to shine boldly, and to let your light lead the way.

Fear will trap you in the lie of limitation.
1 John 4:18b
18b …but perfect love casteth out fear,

Psalm 27:1
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Fear will keep you stuck in safe zones instead of FAITH ZONES.
💡 Fear says: “Play it safe.”
🔥 Faith says: “Step out!”

Jesus never moved out of fear.
He moved out of obedience, identity, and boldness.

YOU are a SON, a DAUGHTER of God, and THAT IS YOUR IDENTITY.

• You were made to be the light of the world!

START WALKING BY FAITH, knowing that you are enough because HE is enough.

• Fear has no authority over you.
• You are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you.

ARISE and SHINE for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you!

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!
We were always meant to shine.
LET’S GO SHINE!! ✨
