Matthew 11:25-27 (NIV) At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
What does it mean to be a child of God?
You will never know who you truly are until you understand who God really is.
1. GOD IS YOUR FATHER
Matthew 11:25-27 (NIV) At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Matthew 6:9 (NIV) This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,”
God hears you.
2 Corinthians 1:3 (NIV) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
God cares for you.
1 John 3:1 (NIV) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
God loves you.

2. GOD IS LORD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH
Acts 17:24-25 (NIV) “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
God is your Creator.
Acts 17:28 (NIV) ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’
God is worthy of your praise.
2 Kings 19:14-16 (NIV) Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD. 15 And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD: “LORD, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. 16 Give ear, LORD, and hear; open your eyes, LORD, and see; listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to ridicule the living God.
God fights your battles.
YOU CAN TRUST GOD!

3. GOD IS PLEASED TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU
Jesus is God’s Son.
Matthew 11:27 (NIV) All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
Colossians 1:19-20 (NIV) For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
You can experience salvation.
Luke 12:32 (NIV) “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
You can experience life in God’s Kingdom
