Read Matthew 5:17-20 ESV

1.Icebreaker - If you could travel anywhere in the world, with no budget restrictions, where would you go?

2.What does it mean that Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets, and why does that make the Old Testament useful for Christians today?

4.Where does righteousness come from? How does a Christian’s righteous status with God lead to intentional righteous living?

5.What do you think about the concept of rewards in Heaven? How does it strike you that both Jesus and Paul use these as motivations for righteous living?

6.Where do you currently most struggle to live in obedience to God? How can meditating on the gospel help you in this area?

7.Look back at the Beatitudes. Discuss how this kind of character will lead to a person who is submitted to Jesus in all of life.
