Vision Sunday 2025

  • Vision Sunday is an annual event where we refresh, remind, and encourage the church of our vision, purpose, and future.

    • Vision – Teach people how to enjoy the Abundant life Jesus came to give them.
    • John 10:10 – The thief comes to steal, kill, and to destroy but Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly.
      • We BELIEVE with all of our hearts that God’s Word is life-changing and the kind of truth that brings freedom!
      • We believe with all our hearts that the church of God is the pillar of truth & life in a broken world
      • We believe with all our hearts that we are here to make a difference
      • We believe with all our hearts that God wants lively, vibrant, growing, passionate Christians & churches who worship, pray, gather with excitement & faith knowing God has a hope & a future for them!

    • Matthew 16:18 (MSG)- This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out!

      1. We keep doing what is right!
        • Follow God, obey God, pursue God, serve God with all our hearts
        • We cannot let the world pull us into compromised lives.

      2. We keep teaching the uncompromised word of God
      3. We keep sowing the right seeds (Godly) so we reap the right harvest (Godly)

        • Generosity, Faithfulness, Humility, Service
        • These characteristics are what God values and what God rewards
        • I pray that our church, as a whole, & the members of our church are known for generosity, faithfulness, humility & service!

      4. We aggressively take ownership of our purpose on the earth as Christians

        • Matthew 5:13-16 - We are the light of the world, salt of the earth, city on a hill
        • Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.


        Ephesians 4:16 - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
        • We must be a church for the next generation. A spirit-filled church is a generational church. We cannot lose the next generations!
      • II Samuel 7:1-11 – If you will build God a house, He will build your house!
      • Matthew 6:33 – AMP – But first and most importantly seek (aim, strive after) His Kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right – the attitude and character of God) and all these things will be given to you also.
