Paul writes this deeply personal letter to defend his apostleship, encourage the church through trials, and remind them of God’s comfort and power in weakness. He also addresses concerns about generosity and continues urging them toward unity and spiritual growth.

Cool Fact:

This is actually Paul’s third or fourth letter to the Corinthians (scholars believe one or two were lost), making it part of a longer conversation between him and this church.

-God’s power in our weakness.
-Comfort in suffering.
-Integrity and authenticity in ministry.
-Generosity and reconciliation.

Key Verse:

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
