1 Corinthians 15:50–58
vv. 50–52—The imperishable outlasts the perishable.
The kingdom of God is everlasting. Those who enter the kingdom must become everlasting. Thus the newly revealed mystery—at the sound of the last trumpet, the dead will be raised, and all God’s people will be changed as imperishable inheritors.

vv. 53–57—The imperishable inheritors are victorious today.
The perishable will be clothed with the imperishable. (Death-proof)
The mortal will be clothed with immortality. (Time-proof)
WHEN this happens, God’s Word will be fulfilled.
Isaiah 25:8—The one who swallowed so many will be swallowed up himself.
Hosea 13:14—Mocking death while dancing on his grave.
Sin is the sting that results in death. The law gives sin its power. But God’s power gives us victory—over sin, satan, and death—through the finished work of our risen Savior Jesus Christ, who is Lord.
