Reconstruct - Week 4 - God is Faithful Provider

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:19 (NLT)

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him. —Genesis 12:7 (NLT)

After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord. —Genesis 12:8 (NLT)

So Abram left Egypt and traveled north into the Negev, along with his wife and Lot and all that they owned. - This was the same place where Abram had built the altar, and there he worshiped the Lord again. —Genesis 13:1,4 (NLT)

Abram moved his camp to Hebron and settled near the oak grove belonging to Mamre. There he built another altar to the Lord. —Genesis 13:18 (NLT)

Abraham made it a habit to recognize all the ways God was already providing for him.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. —1 Timothy 6:6 (NIV)

You have already been a recipient of God’s common grace.

The Lord is good to everyone.
He showers compassion on all his creation. —Psalm 145:9 (NLT)

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. —Psalm 119:105 (NLT)

We often want to know how God will provide from A-Z… while what we need to take our next step is to go from A-B.

DAILY steps of Obedience is often what bridges the gap between God’s Promise and God’s Provision.

His Word

His People

His Presence

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. —Joshua 1:8 (NLT)

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need. —Acts 4:32-35 (NLT)

God provides FOR His people THROUGH His people.

The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. —Psalm 34:10 (NIV)

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” —John 6:35 (NLT)

He met the physical needs, so He could meet the most important needs. Another need we all have is for emotional and spiritual provision.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” —John 14:27 (NLT)

God’s Character

God’s Plan

God’s Timing

Trusting God’s provision always requires faith – believing in something without tangible evidence.

At the moment I have all I need—and more! … And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches. —Philippians 4:18-19 (NLT)

A Prayer for God’s Provision: I believe You are Jehovah-Jireh, and I believe You know everything, so I choose to walk by faith, trusting You will provide exactly what I need in Your perfect timing.

Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning. —Psalm 30:5 (NLT)
