Blessed Pt 5
Act Like You’re Blessed

Deuteronomy 8:7-14 (NASB) 7 For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land where you will eat food without scarcity, in which you will not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you.
11 “Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments and His ordinances and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, 13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

YOU NEED NOT CHASE

PROSPERITY ITSELF ISN’T SINFUL; THE DANGER COMES WHEN BLESSINGS BECOME OUR

, PUSHING CHRIST FROM HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE IN OUR HEARTS

IS NOT MERELY WEALTH OR POSSESSIONS- IT IS SEEING THE PROMISE OF GOD FULFILLED IN OUR LIVES

I. PROSPERITY AS A TEST OF __DEVOTION

YOU CAN NEVER KNOW IF SOMEONE REALLY LOVES YOU WHILE THEY

“NEED” YOU, BUT WHEN THEY NO LONGER “NEED” YOU AND STILL LOVE YOU THEN YOU CAN KNOW

FULFILLED IS PROSPERITY

*
Genesis 22:12 recounts vividly:”Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear and revere God, since you have not withheld from Me your son, your only son.”*

II. PREPARE YOUR

FOR THE BLESSING

*vs 11 & 14 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God… Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God…”
*

The best single way to prepare your heart for blessings is through genuine

and surrender to God.

**
III. WALK IN FAITH**

*
Genesis 26:1-4 (NASB) 1 Now there was a famine in the land, besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.2 The LORD appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 “Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham. 4 “I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;*

DO NOT

HIM
DO NOT NEGLECT HIM
DO NOT CHEAT ON HIM

Proverbs 28:20 (NASB) 20 A faithful man will abound [large numbers or amounts] with blessings, But he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished.

THE BLESSINGS OF GOD ARE NOT A

OF GOD

IV.

IN BLESSING

Psalms 1:1-3 (NASB) 1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
Psalms 1:2 (TPT) 2 His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

SUSTAINED PROSPERITY COMES FROM

IN GOD’S PRESENCE

Your spiritual roots must run deeper than your

circumstances,

V. THE JOY OF DIVINE

*Psalm 16:11 joyfully declares, “You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Deuteronomy 1:11 passionately conveys God’s intention: “May the Lord…increase you a thousand times and bless you as He has promised!”*
