LET’S TALK ABOUT IT – HOT TOPICS!
June 14 & 15, 2025 // Pastor Mike Berry
1. BEING A FATHER IS THE MOST
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:1–4, NIV
2. GOD
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:9–10, NIV
3. GOD WANTS YOU TO HAVE A
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Proverbs 29:18, KJV
4. WE NEED TO COME UP WITH A
“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:40, NIV
THREE C CHALLENGE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE AS A PARENT:
1. Commit to
2. Commit to being a
3. Commit to make
5. MAKE SURE EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY HAS THE SAME
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Matthew 7:24–27, NIV
“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:14–15, NIV
