Words matter
ὑπομονή - hupomone - patience = To wait patiently in a difficult circumstance, to endure under pressure, to keep going.
μακροθυμία - makrothumia - patience = To not blow up, to lengthen your anger, to have a long fuse with people.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, remind me of Your immense patience with me. Please show me where my fuse is short so I can be more patient with (You know who). In Jesus’ name, I pray and ask for help, Amen.
