1. Let’s be a church that grows Personally
- a. The Word (Ezra 7:10, Heb 4:12)
For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel. —Ezra 7:10
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. —Hebrews 4:12
It is our goal to be
b. Pray (Col 4:2; 1 Thess 5:17)
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. —Colossians 4:2
pray without ceasing, —1 Thessalonians 5:17c. Fasting (Matt 4; Acts 14:23)
And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. —Acts 14:23

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah —Psalm 62:8

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, —Matthew 28:19
5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. —Colossians 4:5-6h. Serving (Psalm 100:2; John 12:26; Phil 2:3-4)
Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! —Psalm 100:2
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. —John 12:26
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. —Philippians 2:3-4
2. Let’s be a church that grows corporately
a. Gathering (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24-25)
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. —Acts 2:42
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. —Hebrews 10:24-25b. Worship (Eph 5:19; Rev. 4:11; 5:12)
addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, —Ephesians 5:19
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” —Revelation 4:11
saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” —Revelation 5:12c. Loving (John 13:35)
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” —John 13:35
