Who Is First?

Today’s Scripture
Revelation 2:1-5; Matthew 6:33; Matthew 19:5-6;

Doing what matters most consistently brings us consistently, positive results.

Revelation 2:1-5 To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks [a]among the seven golden lampstands, says this: 2 ‘I know your deeds and your labor and [b]perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and you have put those who call themselves apostles to the test, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3 and you have [c]perseverance and have endured on account of My name, and have not become weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore, remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the [d]deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and I will remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

We cannot say Jesus is #1 and yet never invest any time with Him or His people.

Matthew 19:5-6 or this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
