SERIES TEXT: Hosea 4:6 NKJV

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. —Hosea 4:6 NKJV

DESTROYED (Hebrew) – to be dumb or silent (to not speak); to fail or perish; be brought to silence

KNOWLEDGE (Hebrew) – perception, discernment, understanding, wisdom; to discern and to recognize

My people are failing because they have been brought to silence from a (or because of), a lack of discernment and an ability to recognize, understand and see with their spiritual eyes… the season and time they are living in. —Hosea 4:6

TODAY’S TEXT: Proverbs 31:8-9 ERV

Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Help people who are in trouble. Stand up for what you know is right… —Proverbs 31:8-9 ERV (Easy-To-Read Version)

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. —Romans 1:16 NIV

When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” —Esther 4:12-14 NIV

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the U.S. of America reads:
Congress (Senate & House of Representatives) shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment of the Bill of Rights addresses 5 RIGHTS that we distinctively have as Americans.

The 5 RIGHTS are: The limits on government interference with…
1) Religion
2) Speech
3) The Press
4) The Right to Peaceable Assembly
5) The Right to Petition the Government for a redress of grievances

REDRESSto set right, to remedy; to make up for, to compensate

Petitioning for redress is by its nature a complaint against the government.

We must be very careful not to assume the right to do anything we want in the name of practicing our religion.

If our rights are God-given, then they must be exercised under His terms.

Religious liberty is not a license for abuse. —Pastor Jim Garlow

Because of Christian religious tolerance, we now have something called “multiculturalism”all religions are the same and should be treated equally.

The word “Christian” is not a synonym for “doormat.”

Secularism is based on the idea that there is no God. Therefore, only man can prescribe what is right.

When Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, heard about Jesus, he said to his advisers, “This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead! That is why he can do such miracles.” For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip). John had been telling Herod, “It is against God’s law for you to marry her.” Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of a riot, because all the people believed John was a prophet. —Matthew 14:1-5 NLT

2 Samuel 12 – The Story of Nathan the Prophet and King David

You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you! Name one prophet your ancestors didn’t persecute! They even killed the ones who predicted the coming of the Righteous One—the Messiah whom you betrayed and murdered. You deliberately disobeyed God’s law, even though you received it from the hands of angels. —Acts 7:51-53 NLT

We are commanded to share the Gospel.

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” —Mark 16:15 NLT

We are commanded to share the Gospel.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. —Romans 1:16 NIV

We are commanded to share the Gospel.

But how shall they ask Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? —Romans 10:14 TLB

If you can take a Moral/Biblical TRUTH and make it an Immoral/Deplorable LIE… it doesn’t matter what the Bible says.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. —1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. —2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. —2 Timothy 1:7 TLB

Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Help people who are in trouble. Stand up for what you know is right… —Proverbs 31:8-9 ERV (Easy-To-Read Version)
