SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. —Matthew 6:33

9  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10  Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. —Matthew 6:9 - 10

22  Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the
multitudes away.
23  And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.
24  But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind
was contrary. —Matthew 14:22 - 24

STORMS OF HIS KINGDOM

1. Storms of His Kingdom will often bring you to a point of helplessness.

24  But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind
was contrary. —Matthew 14:24

47  Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land.
48  Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. —Mark 6:47 - 48a

So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat… —John 6:19a

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” —2 Corinthians 12:9a

2. Jesus will never leave you in the storms of His Kingdom because it’s His Kingdom.

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. —Matthew 14:25

So shall they fear the name of the Lord
from the west, and His glory from the rising
of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift
up a standard against him. —Isaiah 59:19

For He Himself has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” —Hebrews 13:5b

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ —Isaiah 41:10

3. Storms of His Kingdom bring a new revelation of fear-less faith.

26  And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” —Matthew 14:26 - 27

49  And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and
cried out;
50  for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” —Mark 6:49 - 50

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you
in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants
of the Lord, and their righteousness
is from Me,” says the Lord. —Isaiah 54:17

The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” —Zephaniah 3:17

1b A very present help in trouble.
2  Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of
the sea;
3  Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with
its swelling.
4  There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
5  God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
6  The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the
earth melted.
7  The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. —Psalms 46:1b - 7

18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
19  We love Him because He first loved us. —1 John 4:18 - 19

4. Storms of His Kingdom always give the opportunity for miracles.

28  And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
29  So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. —Matthew 14:28 - 29

5. Storms of His Kingdom are designed to teach us to focus only on Him.

30  But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31  And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” —Matthew 14:30 - 31

6. Storms of His Kingdom always have an outcome that points to is authority.

32  And when they got into the boat, the
wind ceased.
33  Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.” —Matthew 14:32 - 33

51  Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.
52  For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened. —Mark 6:51 - 52
