To The Rescue

Big Idea: God made me to help others

Memory Verse:

“We have the Lord our God to help us.” —2 Chronicles 32:8, NLT

Message Summary:
When given the opportunity, preschoolers are ready and willing to help because it shows the world they are big and can do things that matter. Preschoolers to the Rescue!! Could it be that the real reason preschoolers want to help is because God made them to help? After all, God is the ultimate helper, and we are made in God’s image!

Family Questions and Activities:
Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, I ask that You give me the wisdom, strength, and energy to help (child’s name) be all that You made (him/her) to be.”
When you go into your child’s room, say: “Good morning, (child’s name)! I see someone God made to help others. It’s …YOU!!
Allow and encourage your child to help you set the table for dinner or fold and put away laundry. SAY: Thank you so much for helping me. God made you to help others.
While on the go, name different people we can help. Think of people at church, in your community, school, neighborhood, etc. Make a plan and follow through on helping them in some way
