Make Room for Prayer and Others
August 20, 2023

When we make room for more of God we are filled with more from God.

If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life.
Mark 8:35

“Our entire society right now is built around and predicated upon self-indulgence. We are people who give in to our own appetites, caring nothing about the consequences. ‘I gots to get mine’ is the banner over humanity in our day and age. But the Bible makes the argument, that the more you live your life by your stomach, the more things unravel regarding what you long for and want.” —Pastor Matt Chandler

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
